This piece is the final in my series of 3, having captured each finished stage, when it was perfect as is. I so feared making an unrepairable error, so this was my afety measure. This piece replaces the prior two, since they are all too similar now, and this final completes the scene. It has survived some very rigorous applications and touch ups. If you'd seen the previous version, you may recall the tree was blue. But it wasn't up to muster, so I "redecorated."
This piece has been the most fun, spirited and rewarding paintings I've done to date. And as I am still caught up in a fervor of early Christmas spirit, there will be more holiday scenes to come.
I was born with a love for the awesome beauty of nature, especially trees and the incredible variety of greens that paint canopies around the globe. I also discovered the profound abilities of the mind and its wondrous imagination, something that I mastered early in life, having exercised it daily. I learned to love the written word and the magic that books had to take one away to another place. Writing was my first application to share my imagination's creativity. Then I took an art class in college and was in awe of the power to create visual scenes representing anything my mind desired. This is my life now. My passion and saving grace.
