Artist's Description
I grew up in Tobago, West Indies from age 3 to 8 - and one of the top 5 most indelible memories I carry with me forever is the indescribable awe-inspiring sight of the starts in the sky at night. In Tobago, late 1960's, there was no electricity (where we lived), no radio, T.V., plumbling, etc. Life was primitive and unencumbered with all the luxuries enjoyed by civilized societies. This painting doesn't do the sight in my memories justice, but I shall work on it. In the meantime, this is my contribution to a most delightful memory, and one I miss more than words or art can say.
About Renee Michelle Wenker
I was born with a love for the awesome beauty of nature, especially trees and the incredible variety of greens that paint canopies around the globe. I also discovered the profound abilities of the mind and its wondrous imagination, something that I mastered early in life, having exercised it daily. I learned to love the written word and the magic that books had to take one away to another place. Writing was my first application to share my imagination's creativity. Then I took an art class in college and was in awe of the power to create visual scenes representing anything my mind desired. This is my life now. My passion and saving grace.
